![]() ![]() Or aviod all this and ALWAYS install the stock tune when you hit a dealer. Everything worked, and I was able to re-install the Performance tune back on my truck. Once that’s complete a Store Front window will open where you can download a few free tools into the Tuner or if your Tuner is locked like mine, you can pay $100 bucks to re-set it, which I did. It will install any new Firmware and updates. ![]() Use the USB cable that came with it and plug it in, it will automatically read your Tuner and gather the data. When I go to the ignition updater, it keeps showing the vin. I updated the flashpaq before I even plugged it into the jeep. It will read my ecu, then tell me f5 needs an update. On the screen it will have your basic info. (Edited by Moderator) So I got my Flashpaq in the mail today and have been trying to tune my jeep since 6:30 with no luck.If you’ve never registered or like me did it 4 years ago and can’t remember, then register and get and ID/Password. Once it runs it will ask you for your ID/Password. On the SuperChips site go to the ‘Customers’ tab and choose ‘Download Internet Update Software’. You can clear it from SuperChips website Long story on how it happened, bonehead move, usually I’m meticulous on installing the stock program back before I take it to the dealer. I recently had the dealer flash my computer and wiped out my canned performance tune. They handle updates by your returning the hand-held unit to their factory.I had a little trouble figuring this out at first so I thought I would share, maybe it might help someone. I ended up getting the Hypertech programmer and it has worked beautifully. I’ll be glad to furnish all the gory details if anyone wants them. Basically he said I didn’t give them a chance to fix the problem. Two weeks later (7/25/07) I finally heard from their Customer Service Manager, Randy Stone, who tells me they will NOT refund shipping costs (either way) but only the purchase price, per-shipping. I called 4 times and he called back once, AFTER I requested the CS Mgr call back. Since then, I have sent him 11 emails asking questions. When Superchips came out with the Flashpaq, they truly raised the bar on the hand held tuner market. There is simply no better selling tuner than the new Superchips 2nd Generation Flashpaq. Don White initially sent me an email with the URL to a Microsoft update (I did not need but ran anyway). SUPERCHIPS FLASHPAQ 2865 CHEVY, GMC, BUICK, CADILLAC, HUMMER, ISUZU, PONTIAC, SATURN GAS CARS, TRUCKS & SUVS. It's over 6 weeks and I still do not have satisfaction. They even deducted the shipping from the dealer to me! The fact is, I should be billing them for MY TIME spent trying to make it work and for dealing with their lousy tech support. I considered waiting the 2 weeks he said it would probably take them to correct the problem, but I decided not to trust a group of programmers to modify my truck's computer if they couldn't even write a simple script to run a firmware upgrade.Īfter bugging them for 2 weeks, a check finally showed up, but it did NOT include shipping. Don White with Superchips finally authorized return of the unit, saying they would reimburse me for my shipping. I tried to run it on 3 DIFFERENT PC's and got the same error. Superchips tech support was not much help. Well, the update software on the Superchips site kept giving me an error. ![]() There was a chance it didn't come with latest program and wanted to be sure. ![]() Started out by trying to update it online. I bought a Superchips Flashpaq, but never got as far as plugging the into my truck. Here is a heads up for anyone considering a performance programmer for their truck. ![]()
